Forest Lake State Park

What you need to know: 
The park is located on Route 116. Park lands are always open. Amenities include picnic tables, flush toilets and a group use area and playground. Pets are not allowed. For more information, call 837-9150.
What you'll find: 
Forest Lake State Park, one of the 10 original state parks, was created in 1935. The park spans 397 acres and its 200-foot sandy beach lies on the shore of Forest Lake. Activities include swimming, picnicking, mountain biking, fishing and boating.
