Monadnock State Park

What you need to know: 
Open year-round. Admission $2-$4. No pets. Note: The park was severely damaged by the December 2008 ice storm. Park work crews continue to clear trails and public areas. Trail information and maps are posted near the Visitor Center at the start of the trail. Carry in, carry out. No pets. Route 124, Jaffrey. For more information, call 532-8862.

With its thousands of acres of protected highlands, 3,165-ft. Mt. Monadnock offers 40 miles of maintained foot trails, many of which lead to the bare rock summit through unique alpine vegetation. Unsurpassed 100-mile views to points in all six New England states are the reward for a climb.
