Ahern State Park

What you need to know: 
The unstaffed park, located on Route 106, is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no admission charge. Pets are not allowed. For more information, call 823-7722, ext. 757.
What you'll find: 
The park spans 128 acres, with 3,500 feet of shoreline on Lake Winnisquam. Try it for fishing, biking, hiking and car-top boating.
