Mount Sunapee State Park

What you need to know: 
The park, located on Route 103, is open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger and New Hampshire residents 65 and older are admitted for free. Pets are allowed at the campground and at the park, except during the annual arts and crafts festival. What you'll find: 
The park offers hiking, swimming, picnicking, boating and fishing in the summer and fall months. The campground offers lean-to and platform sites. Mount Sunapee State Beach is about 1 mile from the campground.
